The Chandigarh chapter of The Indus Entrepreneurs (TiE), a global not-for-profit organisation fostering entrepreneurship through mentoring, education, and networking, will organise a two-day professional and networking conference for entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs — TiECON — in the city from February 17.
The event aims at creating an energising environment for startups in the region to take off and to contribute towards growth.
JB Singh, MD, Acccess Infotech, said: “The event will give Chandigarh’s budding entrepreneurs a platform to connect to India’s brightest business minds, change-makers and experts under one roof”. This will be an opportunity for budding entrepreneurs to get network, get mentored, compete for angel funding, talk one-on-one with venture capitalists and make meaningful connections with clients, mentors and investors.
Top technology companies, venture capital firms, and global service providers will take part in the event.
The two-day event will see distinguished speakers such as Mahesh Murthy (founder, Pinstorm), Padmaja Ruparel (founder, Indian Angel Network), Kirron Kher (MP, Chandigarh), Sanjeev Bikhchandani (founder and executive vice-chairman of Info Edge), Kunwer Sachdev (MD, Su kam Power Systems), Shailesh Vikram Singh (ED, Seedfund) among others. Over 800 delegates will attend the event.
Founded in 1992 in the Silicon Valley, TiE constitutes an international network of over 60 chapters in 18 countries with more than 13,000 members. TiE Chandigarh that was incepted in 2003 .
