Currently, NSE is in talks with various companies to list on its SME platform across India. These companies represent various sectors like auto and auto ancillary, healthcare, IT, electrical appliances, engineering consultancy services, FMCG, textile, reality and renewable energy.
Till date, NSE Emerge platform has helped SMEs to raise about Rs 232 crore, while combined market capitalisation amounts to around Rs 1,100 crore.
BSE and NSE had launched the SME platforms in March 2012 to provide opportunity to such firms to raise capital for growth and expansion. It also provides immense opportunity for investors to identify and invest in good SMEs at an early stage.
