The government will step up the training program me to women entrepreneurs to boost Khadi, Village and Coir Industries in India.
The women training program me is being intensified in the country as part of Prime Minister’s Employment Generation Program me (PMEGP).
The program me which provides credit-linked subsidy to boost micro, small and medium enterprises in both rural and urban areas to generate employment.
Under PMEGP scheme, upto Rs.25.00 lakhs is provided for manufacturing units and Rs.10.00 lakhs for service units.
All the entrepreneurs including women are eligible for 2 weeks Entrepreneurship Development Program me (EDP) after the sanction of their projects from banks for financial assistance to setup their unit and also imparting training under EDP.
