The government has no proposal to launch new schemes for promotion of agricultural and rural industries in the MSME sector for uplifting the rural population as it has already launched a scheme named ASPIRE (A Scheme for Promoting Innovation, Rural Industry and Entrepreneurship) to boost agro-industry.
Under the ASPIRE scheme, 80 Livelihood Business Incubation (LBI) centres will be set up in which a total of 104000 incubates will be trained and 30 (10 new and 20 existing) Technology Business Incubation (TBI) centres will be supported and set up.
A Fund of Funds has also been created under SIDBI for start-ups and Rs. 60 crore has been released for operational zing the fund to promote agro-based rural industries in the country, Minister of State for MSME, Griraj Singh has said.
