For the development of small and medium scale industries sector and to certify their products, Association of Industries, Madhya Pradesh (AIMP) organised a day-long interactive session on product certification here on Wednesday.

Following joint effort of AIMP and Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), several attempts have been made for the growth and development of Small and Medium Scale industries. V.P. Sharma, Deputy Director, MSME-DI, said, “Various policies have been formulated for the small businesses. Policies on subsidy and reimbursement could be utilized by the medium scale industries.”

Under the national manufacturing competitiveness programme, up-gradation of the technology and quality of the product is looked after. “Product certification is an important aspect for the industries. Indore being a base for small and medium scale industries, it is necessary to understand the significance of product and its utility,” he said.
