Successful health tech startups are something, India was so far deprived of but an Ahmedabad start-up has broken the ice with its health care home services. 37-year old Dr. Amit Gupta has come up with an idea to provide diagnostic services aiming at performing best disease diagnoses providing the people with the best and accurate test reports.
Dr. Amit Gupta, a radiologist along with his wife Dr. Aradhana Gupta, a pathologist analyzed the problems that patients are facing during the diagnosis of their diseases. The number of tests administered to any given patient and the wait time for those results can be frustrating. Each year billions of tests are administered, but leave much to be desired in terms of accuracy and patient satisfaction. So they both decided to open a health start-up named, Airmed Pathology Labs.

The start-up is currently operational only in Ahmedabad and is planning to be available soon in Delhi, Gurgaon and the rest of Gujarat as well by few next months. The company has over a dozen labs running in Ahmedabad and it claims to have 1,000 orders per month. The start-up also has an app available for android and iPhone users which provides the options like booking a test in two steps, view reports including history, personalized health packages, health timeline and much more. It also provides the other valuable packages, which are available on its site, such as Pre-Marriage Counselling Package for Male or Female, Abortion Profile, Fever Profile, Infertility Profile and many more. Its service portfolio includes biochemistry, hematology, immunology, flow cytometry, cytology, histopathology, microbiology, genetic studies and others.
The start-up recently has raised Rs 10 crore, equivalent to$1.47 million, in its series A round of funding from Brand Capital, the ad-for-equity investment arm of media firm Bennett, Coleman and Company Ltd’s (BCCL) in January 2017.
