Ahmedabad-based events startup Hubilo Softech Pvt. Ltd has secured an undisclosed amount of angel funding from 12 investors, including Freshdesk CEO and Co-Founder Girish Mathrubootham, multiple media reports said.
Hubilo will use the funds to develop its technology platform and grow its sales and marketing efforts, the Business Standard reported.
The startup allows event organisers to create, promote, manage and analyse events on a single online platform. Users will get an event website, HTML emailers, social media posts and a networking platform for participants. Users can also coordinate with vendors, market the event online and track their budget.
Hubilo was founded in 2015 by engineers Vaibhav Jain and Mayank Agarwal, both of whom are alumni of Ahmedabad-based Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology. The startup was incubated under iCreate—International Centre for Entrepreneurship and Technology in February 2014.
Besides Hubilo, Mathrubootham has invested in other startups this year.
In June, he was part of the Series B investment round along with Accel India and Helion Venture Partners in Crown-it, a mobile-based marketing and customer rewards management platform.
In May, he participated in the seed round of Zarget, a software-as-a-service-based digital marketing platform, along with Accel Partners and Matrix Partners.
In March, Mathrubootham along with Ratan Tata, Bhavish Agarwal and others made a seed investment in gaming startup MadRat Games Pvt Ltd.
In February, he invested in Tracxn, a data management portal for startups, in a Series B round along with DST Global, Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, Beenext, 3One4 Capital and others.
