Indian cricket legend Yuvraj Singh begins new innings by investing in a new startup promoted by Rahul Yadav who shot into fame for his Housing.com from which he exited few months back.
Yuvraj Singh promoted venture capital fund You WeCan will provide seed investment in Intelligent Interfaces which is the new venture that is being promoted by Rahul Yadav.
The new start-up Intelligent Interfaces will facilitate the Union Government to make processes of various departments run smoothly.
Yuvraj Singh launched YouWeCan in April as a $10-million seed stage venture capital fund, along with business associate Nishant Singhal to support internet startups in the country.
“A 100x company needs 100x team,” Rahul Yadav said after announcing his collaboration with Yuvraj Singh
“Proud to back Rahul Yadav and Intelligent Interfaces in helping the Government govern 100x better with the help of technology. Get ready for the revolution!” Singh said on his official Facebook blog.
“The startup will be an interface that will be used by government officials, and I see very large businesses that can be created in partnerships with government”, Yadav said.
Separately, the Cofounder for the new venture, Intelligent Interfaces is Azeem Zainulbhai, the son of former McKinsey India Chief Adil Zainulbhai who is now the Chairman of the Quality Council of India (QCI). After his ouster from Housing in July, Yadav’s next moves have been closely watched in the startup ecosystem.
Yuvraj Singh has already made more than ten investments from his fund including buying minority stakes in multi-sports programmes venture SportyBeans, mobile-phone based beauty and wellness app Vyomo and online healthcare marketplace Healthians.com
