Manisha ChopraDelhi-based SeaSoul Cosmeceuticals, a company engaged in manufacture and distribution of skincare products, has lined up an aggressive retail expansion plan.

The 3 year old company will open as many as 200 retail outlets across the country over the next two-three years in a mix of company-owned and franchise-owned model.

The company, which sells its products under the SeaSoul brand, has already created a new retail range, taking its overall SKUs to 150 products.

“We have received an overwhelming response to our products as well as to our flagship store in Pacific Mall. Inspired by this success, we now want to take our products to consumers across the country. We will start by expanding our footprint in tier I and II cities like Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, Solapur and eventually branch out across the length and breadth of the country by Q3, 2017”, said Manisha Chopra, co-founder and MD, SeaSoul Cosmeceuticals.

She said that out of the 200 stores, that SeaSoul plans to open in India, many will run on the CoCo (Company owned Company operated) model while others will run on an FoFO (Franchise owned and Franchise operated) basis. Shop in Shop models will also be employed for many of its retail wings.

Based on the positive uptake of customer-targetted products, the company has also created a new retail range.

Besides the range of spa products, the company also offers from its stable a skincare range with twenty products for different types of facials and other specialised skin care treatments. Some of the unique products include ‘French Argile Face Mask’, ‘Magnetism-The Beauty Mask’ and ‘Total Fade Acne Treatment with Echinacea’.

These products are 100 per cent natural and are infused with powerful healers. The company, which has its operations in Australia as well, also came up with the world’s first anti-tan candle scrub–Available in variants of ‘Coco Bliss’, ‘Sweet Passion’ and ‘Zesty Temptation’.

She said that they had blended the concepts of “power of touch” and “spa experiences” to bring out a range of items that ensure holistic well-being of the mind, body and spirit.

Chopra, an engineer-turned-entrepreneur, is also confident that eventually Indian home-grown beauty products and techniques can create a strong name in global spheres.
