AskMeBazaar CEO Kiran MurthiAskMeBazaar, an online bazaar with many stores from across India, has demanded that forthcoming budget should come out with clear cut roadmap for the rollout of game changing indirect tax reform, Goods and Services Tax.

With growing e commerce, rollout of GST is critical for its growth as it is largely dependent on good logistics. There will be at least 20 per cent reduction in logistics cost with the implementation of GST.

Also there will be better turn around of commercial with drastic reduction of waiting time at the toll gates. One estimate suggests that India loses Rs 18,000 crore due to long waiting of vehicles at toll gates.

AskMeBazaar has recently launched ‘Grow With Us’ campaign to bring together SMEs across country with a view scaling up their operations.

AskMeBazaar CEO Kiran Murthi, who shared the Budget wish-list with SMEpost.com, said “We hope that the GST roadmap will be shared in the budget for FY 2016-17”.

As a leading e-commerce brand, with a proud association of 14 million SMEs across India, the company expects a futuristic tax policy that will address the complications of the current tax structure.

The company also looks forward to an ecosystem devoid of red-tapism, paving the way for greater ease in doing business and creating the ground for ‘Innovation’ & ‘Entrepreneurship’.

In line with their campaign the portal has launched ‘AskmeFin’ to provide a variety of working capital loans to SMEs.

AskMeBazaar is hopeful that Start up India and Digital India campaigns will convert to strong economic growth and increase in overall consumption.

We hope that the government will continue giving thrust to various reforms in this sector in the forthcoming Union Budget 2016-17”, Murthi said.
