Global IT consulting and Software Services Company Xavient has demanded tax sops to companies in 2016 budget for encouraging employment.
“All eyes are on the Budget 2016-17 this February. One of the very obvious expectation that is taking the rounds is initiated by Prime Minister’s idea of creating more jobs and we hear that the benefits to the employers would be in the form of tax exemption,” Xavient Information Systems Executive Vice President Arshad Majeed said in a statement.
Xavient Services caters to different industry verticals such as Telecom, Retail, Banking & Financial Services, Manufacturing and Healthcare. The firm offers a gamut of services namely, Next-Gen Solutions, UI/UX services, Testing & QA, Application Development and Maintenance, Enterprise Application Services, Open Source Platform Services, Integrated Engineering Solutions, Mobility Solutions and IT Infrastructure Services.
The company also expects reduction in corporate tax this year as per the roadmap announced by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley in last year’s budget.
Apart from these, a detailed road map and greater funds allocation is anticipated by the company for the Smart City Initiative.
For startups push, the company looks forward to more support in the budget for Digital India initiative.
“The hopes ride high for this year’s budget and we believe the focus to be on digital literacy, improved connectivity and access to technology,” he said.
Since the company operates in the Noida Special Economic Zone (NSEZ), it awaits the removal of minimum alternate tax (MAT) from the SEZs, which has been long due.
