“We like to call ourselves the “subway of fashion”. What sets us apart from the plethora of fashion start-ups is the option of customisation that we provide our customers. We allow our customers to either shop from our exclusive range just as shown in the picture or customize their favourite outfits to suit their style and preference. They can choose from various options available on our style board ranging from sleeve type and length, neckline and outfit length. We also provide them with the option of custom fit”, says AEOM Couture Founder Bhavya Goel.
AEOM stands for “All Eyes on Me”. Their muse is the fashion forward, independent, young and confident woman of today who has all eyes on her and wants all eyes on her. With its style board, AEOM ensures that customers get the exact outfit that suits their style and comfort. And with custom fit, they ensures the best fit, solving worries of all plus size and petite women out there.
Excerpts from an exclusive interaction with Bhavya Goel of AEOM Couture:
Background of Promoter
Born and brought up in Delhi, I did my schooling from Air Force Bal Bharti School. Despite having a creative bent of mind, I opted for commerce as my field of study and went on to pursue B.Com from Delhi University and chartered accountancy. Post graduation, I joined E&Y as a consultant and worked there for approx 3.5 years. Post qualifying as a chartered accountant, I joined the Deal Strategy team of KPMG and worked there for around 2 years.
The initial period- the challenges & the ecstasy of quick wins!
Being completely new to the fashion industry with no prior experience, I had to initially struggle to understand the basics. I started off with educating myself about garment construction, fabric quality, learning basic design techniques and softwares. But that’s the good thing about start-ups – you are always and constantly learning.
Finding the right manufacturer, who knew his job well and was cost effective at the same time was another challenge. However, we remained persistent and did not stop our search until we finally overcame this challenge.
The journey so far!
The journey so far has been really enriching for us. We have fulfilled close to a thousand orders in a short span of 4 months of which 50 per cent were customization related orders. We have been able to develop a strong and loyal customer base. More than 50 per cent of our customers are repeat customers. Our return percentage is as low as 2 per cent.
We consider these as small wins and believe we are in the right direction towards our ultimate goal of establishing AEOM Couture into a well known global brand and go to destination for every woman’s fashion needs.

We have collaborated with the likes of Mrs. India and Mr. India Manhunt, Truly Madly, FABBAG, Stylecracker, StyleWithMe. We were recently the merchandising partners for GoBuzzinga’s Momo Festival.
The future, as you see, 3 years from now in terms of scope & scale of your business enterprise
We want to run AEOM Couture in a hybrid model with offline and online presence. We plan to have offline presence across India at strategic locations. We are currently working on our technology to make it sharper and accommodate more options to make the entire experience of customization smoother.

We love it when our customers write back to us telling us how much they loved our outfits and how we have sorted their style and fit worries.
AEOM is now recognized as a brand. We have been invited by a number of renowned institutes to inspire young and aspiring entrepreneurs such as HansrajColllege, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, Salwan Public School to name a few.
The feelings on getting the first big order / contract for your company
Post launch, a renowned facebook based fashion and shopping community had written about us. We received an overwhelming response after that particular FB post. There were a few customers who bought 70 per cent of our entire collection in a go. We were definitely on cloud 9 and couldn’t believe it. The word flew and we got a lot of recommendations. There has been no looking back for us since then.
