We organise events to help students in getting engaged with us, we do media collaborations with college events to provide them more audience and we are developing a product through which students can get guided by us in the three/four years of their college journey. Campus Drift is an ultimate college brand which caters all needs of a student”, says CampusDrift.com Founder Avica Bedi.

Campus Drift also helps students in getting the latest updates of all universities of Delhi/NCR and recently expanded to Mumbai.

Excerpts from an exclusive interaction with Avica Bedi of Campus Drift:

Background of Promoter

I belong to a joint Punjabi family. I have been born and brought up In Delhi and it helped immensely since Delhi is a hub of students.

School life was really great and I was a medical student. I was supposed to either pursue medical or engineering but I didn’t take admission in these fields despite clearing competitive exams. I chose English hons from Delhi University as an ultimate destination and nothing has ever made me more proud of myself than choosing this life changing course. I got introduced to a DU based firm and began my internship.

There I met my present partners and we started our own venture.

The initial period- the challenges & the ecstasy of quick wins!

CampusThe biggest challenge was to build a team and to stand out. We managed to do both when we organised an event in association with Forever 21 as soon as we launched.

It was a massive hit and then the great things kept pouring. It did take a lot of hard work and patience but it proved to be worth it, completely.

The journey so far!

The journey has been a memorable one. We started from scratch and now we leave half a million impressions on an average. People, who didn’t understand our name, now call us a brand with a beaming smile on their faces.

We faced criticism, comparison but we managed to be innovative with great online activities like video campaigns for upcoming students, providing coolest internship details every week, organising quirky events while keeping them updated about every thing useful.

Our competitors mocked us at first but when we built a massive team and started producing results, some of them copied us. That was the moment we could say we made it!

Strategic Alliances & Partnerships

We have collaborated with 10+ amazing brands like Forever 21 and Oyo rooms. We keep advertising upcoming brands and help them in reaching out to students. We have had a great client response and we have managed to bootstrap our business with It. Along with this, we partner with every college event, major or minor. We help them in reaching out to students on a greater scale and they help us by promoting us as their official partners.

We have launched a community of bloggers and we are planning to collaborate with great brands to use this collaboration for mutual benefits and we have crafted strategies to monetise it as well.

The future, as you see, 3 years from now in terms of scope & scale of your business enterprise.

The greatest youth brand in the country. We want to connect all 20 million plus college students of India by the end of 2019.

The feelings on getting the first big order / contract for your company

When Forever 21 agreed to sponsor our event, I couldn’t believe my ears. There was a feeling of joy, accomplishment and satisfaction. There was a vigour which pushed me to work hard and my team was there all along, pushing and believing in us. We are a family of 80+ college students from different states of India and when motivation came from such people, it was tremendous!
