The world is assertively indulged into technology and gadgets these days. So why not make use of the same to ensure your child’s safety, too? Evoxyz, an IoT tech start-up, pioneers solutions to relay children’s indoor location to parents from schools.
“The enterprise deployments are done in schools and academies where the wearables are provided by us to schools and they provide it to parents. In enterprise deployments, parents can locate the children even within indoor premises and get alerts when they enter or exit a safe/unsafe zone area”, says Evoxyz Technologies Founder Shilpa Mahna Bhatnagar.
They are primarily wearable devices which children wear and parents can get real time updates about their location as well as wellbeing on their smartphone. The wearables are available through online retail channels.

Background of Promoters
Evoxyz is a self-funded organization where all the 3 Co-Founders have invested their own funds to work for the cause of child security. While all 3 of us are technologists by education, we complement each others’ skills in a big way. I lead the team with complete responsibility of business execution, fund raising strategy, Abhishek sales the technology of the company and Sukhesh drives the sales vision. All 3 of us are completely committed to the cause of child security and intend to make a difference.
The initial period- the challenges & the ecstasy of quick wins!
While child safety is a key pain point today, to an extent that it’s become a National issue nobody realized, that if we pay attention we could take small steps towards solving it. We initially started with deploying these solutions in enterprises like schools and academies. It was very difficult to sell our solutions there as, while it had immense benefit to parents, schools could not touch and feel the product. When a couple of schools deployed it, and started leveraging its benefit, it became much easier for us to sell it.
We have been lucky to find the first few customers who supported us in our journey and believe in our idea. CradletoCrayons Gurgaon and Suncity School Gurgaon are two such institutes who believed in our idea and gave us the opportunity to showcase that security is no more an option, it’s a mandate!
The journey so far!
The journey so far has been very fulfilling. We have had our share of sinusoid, ups and downs but each phase has been worth the experience. We strongly believe that even if we are able to save one child in case of an incident, we have done a great job. This is exactly what has been happening for past few months. We have reached a stage where parents themselves feel that they need solutions in their hands without the need of interim agencies and hence we are coming up with a new solution which will be directly available to parents.
The future, as you see, 3 years from now in terms of scope & scale of your business enterprise
The path to next 3 years is very clear. We need to develop the child security market and lead it from the top. In terms of scale, we at least need to ensure that more than 1 million parents trust Evoxyz and feel safe about their children.
Key moments of reckoning in business life
Every day is like that for an entrepreneur, we must account for our decisions every now and then, be it in personal front or professional front. But the days when you speak to a potential customer, who doesn’t understand the value of your system or the vision, I get this feeling.
The feelings on getting the first big order / contract for your company
Ecstatic! It makes you more confident and affirms your belief that things will work. I remember I took a picture of that cheque, and I still have a look at it when I am feeling low on some of the days.
