The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) has allotted a 5,000 sq metres plot to Grapecon Technologies in the Sinnar industrial estate,Nashik district and a 4,000 sq metre plot to Mask Fastners Ltd in Supa Parner industrial estate, Ahmednagar district.

As per the MIDC policy they have been given plots at old rates, which are 30% cheaper than the prices that came into effect from January 7. The MIDC has exempted industries that signed MoUs in the Make in India week in Mumbai from the new land rates.

Of the 158 SMEs signed MoUs with the state with an investment worth Rs 2,326.55 crore for Nashik district, during Make in India week, 48 new SMEs are coming up in Sinnar, Satpur, Ambad, Vinchur, Sayane (Malegaon) industrial estates of MIDC in the district, while rest of 110 SMEs are coming up in private industrial estates like Gonde, Wadiwarhe, Janori and co-operative estates.

A Senior Official from MIDC said, “We have received 48 and 19 proposals from industries from Nashik and Ahmednagar, respectively, under ‘Make in India’, which have demanded land in MIDC areas like Sinnar, Satpur, Ambad, Malegaon ,Vinchur etc. We have just started allotment of lands to these industries.”

Of which, the M&M announced Rs 1,500 crore investment for expansion of its existing facilities in Nashik. Of 158 SMEs, 48 new SMEs are coming up in MIDC areas and while rest of 110 SMEs coming up in private industrial estates like Gonde, Wadiwarhe, Janori and co-operative estates.
