The proposal to revise ceiling limits for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is already before the Standing Committee of the Lok Sabha, said Giriraj Singh, Minister of State for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. He was speaking at an interaction meet held on March 11.
Singh was responding to a query by members of Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA) to enhance the ceiling limits to Rs 5 crore for micro, Rs 25 crore for small and Rs 50 crore for medium enterprises. He also said that as much as Rs 1,25,000 crore had been disbursed under Mudra Scheme which would empower a very large number of small and micro entrepreneurs.
