MSME-2-2Industrialists from Punjab looking to become registered suppliers of public sector undertakings (PSU), including organizations from defence, railways, and fertilizer sectors have a golden opportunity in their hands.

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Institute (MSME-DI), Ludhiana, will conduct a two-day National Vendor Development Programme (NVDP) on February 12 and 13 at Glada Ground on Chandigarh Road.

Officers from nine Public Sector Units (PSUs), like Vehicle Factory, Jabalpur; Ordnance Cable Factory, Chandigarh; Rail Coach Factory, Kapurthala etc, will participate in this programme and spread awareness among industrialists about what items are required by the PSUs, and how industrialists can become their registered suppliers and start business with them.

This NVDP will be conducted during Mach Auto Expo, organized by Auto Parts Manufacturers Association (APMA) from February 11-15. A total of 350 micro and small units from Punjab, Haryana, and other states are expected to showcase auto parts and allied components during this five-day expo.

During the event, an industrial interaction with the Japanese delegation will also be conducted by the National Small Industries Corporation (NSIC), during which industrialists will be made aware about the latest technological advancements, and how they can they improve the efficiency of their industrial units.

The expo will be inaugurated by speaker of state assembly, Dr Charanjit Singh Atwal on February 11, while the NVDP will be inaugurated by member of parliament from Ludhiana, Ravneet Singh Bittu, on February 12. This was disclosed by officials of MSME-DI on February 9, during a programme conducted to oversee the preparations of this event. Those present on this ocassion included Deputy Director Kamal Singh, Assistant Directors Kundan Lal, Manoj Sharma, Ankur Pathak, Neeraj Arora, RK Parmar, Rajendran B, General Manager of NSIC, Ludhiana, Rajesh Jain. Industrialists present during the programme included GS Kahlon, Jaswinder Thukral, Jagbeer Sokhi, and others.
