Offering financial assistance to MSMEs affected by floods in Chennai is under the Ministry’s active consideration. MSME Minister Kalraj Mishra said.
“I have forwarded the proposal to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and he has assured all help,” said Mishra told reporters in Coimbatore
Replying to a query, the Minister said the Center was ready to implement Goods and Services Tax, but the Congress members were preventing it.
“In an attempt to motivate the entrepreneurs on ease of doing business, the government has launched Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum (UAM) in September to simplify the registration process. Within three months, over 1,14,435 UAM’s have been filled across the country,” the Minister said.
On terror strikes at Pathankot in Punjab, he said terrorists were trying to spoil the relations between India and Pakistan.
Later in the day, he released a brochure of the 16th Agri Intex 2016 expo, scheduled to be held from July 15 to 18, and launched the logo of India International Coir Fair, to be conducted by the Coir Board along with the Agri Intex, at Codissia Trade Fair Complex here.
